This is a great way to spend a day. It is about a 2 hour drive south of the condo to the most southern tip in the United States. Most people think the most southern tip is Florida… it is not. On a nice day, the views are incredible off about a 30 ft cliff. You can work this stop into your itinerary for Green Sands Beach. Please see the beach section for more information on how to get to Green Sands beach and get a truck taxi down to the actual beach. You don’t need a 4WD to get to south point but you will need one to get to Green Sands or take the truck taxi for about $20 per person. If you have not been to either South Point or Green Sands beach, this might be a nice day trip adventure. There is a map in one of the pictures above of where South Point and Green Sands are located. If you want to have lunch you can try Punalu’u Bake Shop, just up the road a few miles from the main turn off. They have awesome baked goods, sandwiches and treats.
