Zip Lining

November 1, 2020

So for those adventurous types, you may want to consider Zip Lining. Up near Hilo and Akaka Falls is a great place to try zip lining. We have used both Umauma Experience and Skyline Hawaii in the past and been pleased with both. Both have very nice and informative guides and do a good job with their guests in our opinion. There are several zip lines from beginner to advanced. One of the last lines is over a gorgeous water fall and pretty high up in the air. As of late we prefer the Umauma Experience because of the great observation deck and store for non zip liners to watch family and friends. This deck is a great place to watch kids and grand kids and get a picture perfect moment of their adventure. I would not consider the zip lining in Hawaii as comparable to other locations like Costa Rica but it can be a fun day excursion for something different to do. While you are there be sure to explore Akaka Falls and take the easy hike to the AkaAka waterfall. In full disclosure, I have never zip-lined in Hawaii, my wife and kids have done it several times. Just because it is not my thing doesn’t mean it may not be yours… :)
