If you get turned away from Mauna Kea and Mau’umae Beach then turn around and head a few minutes south to Hapuna Beach. This is one of the longest white sand beaches on the island. It has been called the best beach in the US. I think there are better… but it is still a really nice beach! There are several picnic tables and BBQ areas and shade trees up elevated up from the beach. It is a great place to have a child’s birthday party or group gathering. There is plenty of room here to spread out. This beach is about 30-45 minutes north of the condo.
