Another good spot for Poke. People say they like Umeke’s better than Da Poke Shack for poke. I actually prefer Da Poke Shack for Poke... but both are good. The Kauai shrimp at Umeke’s is good as well as their poke nachos. Umeke’s has much more variety of food (compared to Da Poke Shack) and a full bar. They built a new restaurant in 2020 which is nice. They have a large menu and full bar. This would be a good place to take a big group or sample some good local flavors. It can get busy during high season and the service suffers but as you will learn in Hawaii, there is a saying… “IT’S HAWAII BRAH!”… that means just deal with it and relax, you are in paradise my friend! They do have nice outdoor seating at their new location.
